Head Bartender

Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa is situated in the South Ari Atoll which is about 25-minutes by seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport. This island is 900 meters long by 250 meters wide and surrounded by a spectacular house reef. We have a total of 194 rooms with 2 buffet restaurants, 2 a la carte restaurants and 4 bars.

We are looking for motivated, service oriented and experienced Head Bartender to join our Vilamendhoo Family!

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to Assistant Bar Manager/Assistant Outlet Manager/ Outlet Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Monitor the bar in terms of Mis en place, stock control, breakage & beverage guidelines

• Co-ordinate with barman for the preparation, presentation and service of all beverage products to ensure the highest quality at all times

• Supervise the assigned bar for wastage, spoilage & requisition

• Participate with the team in the creation of attractive collateral materials to promote and merchandise for the Bar and all Food & Beverage outlets to attract a predetermined guest market

• To be fully aware of working practices within Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, guidelines

• To greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes garnishes
and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years bartending experience with at least 1 year in Supervisory position
• Bartender course or cocktail mixing course preferred.
• Good command of written and spoken English, additional language an advantage.
• Must be well‐groomed, neat and clean.
