Commis – Hot/Asian Kitchen

Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa is situated in the South Ari Atoll which is about 25-minutes by seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport. This island is 900 meters long by 250 meters wide and surrounded by a spectacular house reef. We have a total of 194 rooms with 2 buffet restaurants, 2 a la carte restaurants and 4 bars.

We are looking for motivated, customer service oriented and experienced Commis – Hot/Asian Kitchen to join our Vilamendhoo Family!

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chef De Partie/ Sous Chef, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Needs to follow the spec. book when producing food and standardized recipes.
• Inspect all the coolers and freezers ensuring that the storage procedures are being followed at all times.
• Ensure that all Cooks are following the relevant sanitation requirements and any issues are reported to the Chef De Partie / Sous Chef
• Assist guests and employees in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience in the same role
• Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with staff members
• Knowledge of Food Safety & HACCP standard
