    Sous Chef

    We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our dynamic team to support the Executive Chef in directing and organizing the activities of the Kitchen such as establishing and maintaining the required culinary standards.

     

    Meeru Island is located in North Male’ Atoll accessible via boat from the International Airport. The island features 284 rooms, four large F&B outlets, extensive water sports, diving facilities as well as a large fleet of vessels. This beautiful island was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and offers a vibrant and rich heritage; it is Simply Maldives.

     

    You’re Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for guest comment scores in the outlets
    • Overlook the assigned kitchen with regard to food production
    • Ensure that all responsibilities and tasks are completed as directed by the Executive Chef
    • Monitor daily house count and adjust production levels accordingly to ensure minimal waste and proper food turn over.
    • Support the Executive Chef in maintaining the company’s food safety controls and systems

     

    Our Requirements:

    • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
    • At least five years previous experience in the same capacity in a similar environment required.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • First Aid, Fire Safety, Health and Kitchen Safety Trainings preferred
