    Pastry Chef

    Meeru Maldives Resort Island is looking for dynamic, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service to join our team as a Pastry Chef.

     

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the kitchens with regard to pastry and bakery production.
    • Accountable for the guest comment scores in the dining outlets.
    • Inspect all the coolers and freezers in the pastry and bakery sections.
    • Ensure that all staff are following the relevant sanitation requirements and that any issues are dealt with immediately, in line with Meeru HACCP procedures.
    • Taste or sample all food in the pastry and bakery prior to the start of each service to ensure a consistent product.

     

    Our Requirements:

    • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
    • At least five years of previous experience in the same role. Resort/Maldives experience is an advantage.
    • Good command of the English language.
    • First aid, fire safety, health, and kitchen safety training are preferred.
