Island Host

We are looking for an Island Host who can liaise directly with guests to ensure their well-being, comfort, satisfaction and that perfection of service is attained. Liaise with all departments on all guest welfare matters and to ensure that a smooth, courteous and efficient service is provided.

Meeru Island is located in North Male’ Atoll accessible via boat from the International Airport. The island features 284 rooms, four large F&B outlets, extensive water sports, diving facilities as well as a large fleet of vessels. This beautiful island was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and offers a vibrant and rich heritage; it is Simply Maldives.

You’re Responsibilities:

• Assist the Assistant Guest Services Manager / Front of House Supervisor on all pertinent matters affecting Resort Hosts operations
• Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other departments, as required
• Contribute to the moral and team spirit of the resort by maintaining good relationships with colleagues
• Be fully conversant with all health & safety, fire and emergency procedures of the resort
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language
• Be polite and professional in any situation where the image of the resort is represented
• Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Maldivian law

 Our Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year experience in the hotel industry preferably in Front Office / Guest Services
• Educational background in hospitality and tourism
• With good command of the English language; other language (German, Russian, French, Spanish) is an advantage
• Preferably with an island resort experience
• Excellent customer care skills and interpersonal relations
• Outgoing, friendly and has cheerful personality
