Executive Chef

We are looking for an Executive Chef to join our dynamic team with International exposure and Island experience to join our culinary team.

Meeru Island is located in North Male’ Atoll accessible via boat from the International Airport. The island features 284 rooms, four large F&B outlets, extensive water sports, diving facilities as well as a large fleet of vessels. This beautiful island was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and offers a vibrant and rich heritage; it is Simply Maldives.

You’re Responsibilities:

• The Executive Chef is directly responsible for hiring, people development and performance reviews of the kitchen team.
• Supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities, estimate food consumption and purchase of food, select and develop recipes to achieve the optimum and cost-effective food quality while enforcing the highest levels of hygiene.
• Adhere to local regulations concerning health and safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and resort policies and procedures.
• Ensure the consistent production of high-quality food through all resort food outlets.
• Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with guests, team members, contractors and suppliers.

Our Requirements:

• Experience in resort culinary operations is desirable along with a degree in Culinary Arts.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of industry and culinary management experience.
• Previous experience in menu engineering, controlling labour cost.
• Passion for leadership and teamwork.
• Eye for detail to achieve operational excellence.
• Excellent guest service skills.
