Accounts Receivable

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable who will assist the Accounts Receivable Supervisor in the preparation of timely and accurate AR statements and reports. Directs and organizes the activities of the accounts receivable section.

Meeru Island is located in North Male’ Atoll accessible via boat from the International Airport. The island features 284 rooms, four large F&B outlets, extensive water sports, diving facilities as well as a large fleet of vessels. This beautiful island was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and offers a vibrant and rich heritage; it is Simply Maldives.

You’re Responsibilities:

• Prepares GST Guest report and sends to Chief Accountant by 10th of each month
• Prepares Bank credit card statement by 10th of each month, imports to Sun System and reconciles at the same time
• Copies all invoices / statements and maintains filing system
• Replaces the AR supervisor during his absence
• Relieves the night auditor as and when necessary

Our Requirements:

• 3 years in hotel Accounting Department operations including a minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
• Skills in complex mathematical calculations, factions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents; listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee records
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with major in Hotel Accounting. Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) or equivalent.
