The Golf Course at Meeru Maldives Resort Island
Meeru pioneered the Maldives’ inaugural 9 Hole Pitch & Putt golf course on November 1, 2009, positioned at the island’s heart alongside the Golf Driving Range and Putting Green. Spanning 2000 sqm (21,000 sq. ft.), this course offers 9 holes across 480 yards, featuring 9 tee boxes and 6 greens for versatile play. With greens averaging 170 sqm (1,800 sq. ft.) and boasting multiple flag positions of varying difficulty, the course nurtures short-game skills. Its artificial turf ensures consistent, year-round playing conditions, while challenges like sand bunkers and water hazards test players’ precision. Ranging 35 to 80 yards, shots involve dog legs and demand accuracy.
The venue also houses a 120-yard Golf Driving Range equipped for night play, complemented by a turf Putting Green for skill enhancement. Lessons with a resident Golf Professional and scheduled weekly tournaments add to the engaging golfing experience, with equipment available for rent at the Sports Centre.

Situated at the southern tip of Mabin Island, Jawakara offers a unique golfing experience with a 9-hole pitch and putt course inspired by iconic global holes. Jawakara Golf Club boasts a driving range, practice putting green, indoor golf simulator with GC quad technology, golf shop, bar, and restaurant.
The 9 tees and greens, some featuring 2 pin positions, allow for 9 or 18 hole games. The artificial turf greens ensure year-round playability, guarded by bunkers and scattered palm tree obstacles. The 170-yard driving range with shaded bays is perfect for warm-ups. Beginners can refine skills at the artificial turf practice putting green and bunker.
