    Executive Chef

    We are looking for an Executive Chef who is enthusiastic and with great attitude to be responsible for managing the operations and delivering an excellent guest experience.

    Kagi Maldives Resort & Spa is a charming, unpretentious island for those seeking the natural connection between wellness and relaxation. The resort features 50 villas with 5 F&B outlets located at the tip of North Male’, which is 60 minutes away from Velana International Airport by speedboat. We promote great careers, great rewards and great environment to our team members and provide accommodation, food, laundry services, wifi, indoor and outdoor sports as well as wellness activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Talented culinarian with at least 3 years of prior Executive Chef experience in a luxury / upscale resort environment. Proven track record in developing team members.
    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Culinary Arts is considered an asset.
    • Must have HACCP certification of Level 4 or equivalent.
    • Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
    • Proficient in computer skills, including e-mail communication, writing, and editing in Microsoft Word/Excel or Google Docs, and proficient in conducting searches with Google.
    • Perform any additional duties or special projects as directed by the Resort Management.
    • Knowledge of Italian cuisine will be considered an advantage.

    Skills:

    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and administrative skills. Must possess high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a detailed-oriented mindset aiming for consistent results.
    • Ability to interact with colleagues in a positive and professional manner, making them feel valued to maximize staff morale.
    • Capable of carrying out various tasks simultaneously and effectively in a limited amount of time.
    • Comfortable taking responsibility and making quick decisions when necessary.
    • Willingness to replenish professional knowledge and prepared to be hands-on in the kitchen.
    • Ability to perform any additional duties or special projects as directed by the Resort Management.
