    F&B Director

    Jawakara Islands Maldives is currently seeking a motivated and skilled professional with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to join our team as a F&B Director. This exciting opportunity allows you to play a pivotal role in planning, directing, organizing and controlling the service activities of the Food & Beverage Department of the resort.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Plan and direct administration and planning of F&B Departments at Resort for daily service needs.
    • Clearly describe, assign, and delegate responsibilities for various F&B sub-departments.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor schedules to achieve budgeted objectives.
    • Collaborate with Outlet Managers to create attractive collateral for F&B outlets.
    • Implement cost control measures and ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of facilities.
    • Monitor requisitions, control food & beverage costs, and manage inventory effectively.
    • Identify budget variants, implement initiatives, and develop business plans for revenue improvement.
    • Oversee service and culinary quality in all venues, ensuring standards are met.
    • Report malfunctions to the Engineering department and maintain necessary records.
    • Collaborate with F&B personnel to plan menus and related activities.
    • Oversee food and beverage inventories, ensuring proper stock controls and cost management.
    • Promote structural and cultural change in line with business strategies.
    • Actively resolve service challenges and maintain communication with guest relations.
    • Establish a clear understanding of service effects on guest experiences.
    • Ensure communication and motivation optimization across departments.
    • Work with training and development team for individual and team progression.
    • Collaborate with senior management to communicate company information and maintain relationships.
    • Assist Outlet Managers in achieving profit objectives and maintaining quality standards.
    • Regularly review customer acceptance, recommend new policies, and maintain leadership in F&B operations.
    • Develop operating tools with Outlet Managers, such as budgeting, forecasting, and report preparation.
    • Continuously evaluate and encourage improvement of personnel in F&B departments.
    • Directly responsible for implementing and monitoring Food Safety Management System/HACCP Policy, including record maintenance and unannounced spot checks.

    Our Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Culinary, sales and service background required.
    • Ten years in hotel Food & Beverage operations, sales and marketing including a minimum of five years in management and three years in a similar position.
    • Proven experience as an F&B Director in a Western culinary setting.
    • Strong understanding of industry trends, customer preferences, and market demands.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.. Additional proficiency in a foreign language is considered a valuable asset.
